Advanced Placement United States History (APUSH) is an in depth look into our nations past starting with Pre-Columbian topics and ending with contemporary issues. Students taking the class have the ability to earn college credit by successfully completing the course and scoring at least a 3 on the APUSH exam which takes place in May. However students should talk with their colleges of interest to see if the institutions accept the APUSH credit as some colleges do not accept it or only accept a score of a 4 or 5.
  • ID's aka: Terms/Names

For your ID's you will need to write more than just a definition. These will become the foundation of your AP exam prep. In your writing for each ID you need to think about the following: Who, what, when, where, why and how. One sentence responses will not work. Don't ask how long does it have to be? Write so that you understand the importance of each. Some ID's will be longer than others. But again, one or two sentence responses will not work! Enjoy the rest of your summer!

  • Crash Course

The Crash Course U.S. History series on YouTube is a great way to break up your reading. DO NOT RELY ON IT AS YOUR SOURCE OF INFORMATION. However, it serves as a good intro to your reading or watch after you have finished reading each chapter. I've attached the link to the 48 videos that make up the series under your chapter readings. I hope you enjoy these as much as last years sophomores and AP students.
