HHS 1:1 Technology Program



Hillsboro High School is excited to provide a 1:1 Device program to our 9th-12th grade students for the 2019/2020 school year! We will be loaning a device to students starting on Tuesday, August 20th. Students will be expected to have the school device daily; personal devices can not be used during the school day for class work.  Please review the information, located in the new Student Chromebook Handbook,for more in-depth information regarding the new 1:1 technology program. Students and parents are required to sign the device agreement forms included in the handbook linked above, and return them by Friday, August 16th in order to get their device. They can also fill out the forms in person at the High School Open House on Thursday, August 8th.

The administration here at Hillsboro High School want to make sure that all of our students have access to technology in their classrooms, on an even playing field, for the 2019/2020 school year and beyond. As such we have worked to bring this opportunity to all of our students at an affordable price point in the form of a required $25 technology fee, that covers the use of the chromebook for the 1:1 program. For those that need assistance with the technology fee, we can work with you to set up a payment plan to spread out the financial burden.

Parents/Guardians will also have the opportunity to purchase a 3rd party protection plan through the district for $26 per school year per device.For those that take advantage of this optional protection plan, Payment for the Device Protection Plan must be made by Friday, September 7th to be active for the 2019-2020 school year. The portal to sign up for the optional protection plan is: The portal will be open prior to students receiving their devices on August 20th.
