HILLSBORO MUSICAL THEATRE DEPARTMENT PRESENTS “SEUSSICAL, JR”

On March 16, 17, and 18th, the Hillsboro High School Musical Theatre Department will present a musical for kids of all ages entitled "Seussical, Jr". In this show, Dr. Seuss’s favorite characters join voices to create a tale of adventure, romance, good deeds and lots of fun!

Director Bronwyn Jones, along with Associate Director Jarrod Weiss, Musical Director Liz Odland, Musical Assistant Laura Jacky, Choreographer Stephanie Habig, Costume Designer Judy Saaranen, Set Designer Hollis Stevenson, and a group of talented young performers have turned the stage into an extravaganza of color, movement, and musical merriment. The cast of over 30 students have been transformed into "Who’s", "Jungle Creatures", "Bird Girls" and not-so-bad-monkeys  to tease, support and back-up the Cat in the Hat, Gertrude, Yertle, Mazie, JoJo and others. They are all on stage to serenade YOU, their audience. Please come to support the local talented artists and enjoy a terrific night out with Seussical!

There are three performances, all open to the public: Friday, March 16 @ 7pm, Saturday, March 17 @ 7pm and Sunday March 18 @ 2pm. Tickets are $5.00 for students & Seniors, $7.00 for adults. Seuss souvenirs and refreshments will be sold at intermission to benefit future stage productions.

An "open to the public" pre-production "Brunch with the Seussical Bunch" will be held, starting at 10am on Saturday, March 3. "Green Eggs & Ham" will be served with lots of Seuss-style sides. There will be Seuss games, crafts & activities including pictures with favorite Seuss characters. The cost is just $10. per child, including their picture. Adults may enjoy the brunch for just $7.50. Seating is limited so reservations are a must. Call Hillsboro High School, 937/393-3485 (7am-3:30pm) and Angie will make your reservation. For more information about the brunch click here.
