Students will see several different types of printmaking, including linoleum, rubber block and Styrofoam. We will discuss impressionism and the art of Claude Monet. They will learn what composition means, students will create a background for their leaf prints. They will use colored chalk to form impressionistic trees. Students will bring in leaves from home and go through the printing process to create a successful print. They will attach the leaf prints to the tree composition.
