First graders take a look at the history and culture of Mexico. We discuss the Mexican Market place as a place to shop for fruits, vegetables and other goods. Sombreros can be made out of straw for those in field work to felt and metallic threads for the wealthier.
Students were encouraged to focus on line, shape, color and pattern for this project.
