View Events/Assignments for
This class will concentrate on two major topics: basic computer skills & career exploration. Students will be exposed to Microsoft Office 2010 including Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Students will be expected to apply their knowledge and skills related to each computer program, through many project-based activities. In addition, students will explore careers that match their abilities, interests, and values. Also, students will understand how to search the Internet effectively and how to become responsible net-citizens. Please note that reading, writing and math application will be expected & applied throughout each project as an extension of the Core courses.
- Assignment Information
All classroom information and assignments should be posted on my web page, in Progressbook, and on the white board in the classroom. It is your responsibility to make-up your work if you are behind or absent during the week.
- Class Blog
Part I: You are required to respond to the initial classroom discussion board by Friday each week. Be sure to go over the rubric under Class Links. Your responses should be at least 2-3 sentences in length using proper capitalization, punctuation and grammar.
Part 2: You are also required to respond to one other individual in your class. Your response should be meaningful and addressed to the individual using their first name. It should be at least 1 sentence in length, and as always, you should use proper capitalization, punctuation and grammar.
It is absolutely necessary that you make your best effort to make it to school every day throughout the semester. For some of you, your attendance will be the difference in you passing or failing this class. You are responsible for your make-up work including requesting assignment information, determining a time to make it up, and asking for assistance when necessary.
