Clay II is a continuation of Clay I with a focus on project development and finding individual style. Projects may be created with any of the hand-building techniques learned in Clay I or the potter's wheel. The student is in more control of the projects created as they are very open-ended with limited beginning guidelines. Students are graded on research and idea development and complexity of creations. Artwork created in Clay II must build on and exceed the level of creativity and skill learned in Clay I.
A grade of at least a C must be attained in Clay I to be admitted to Clay II. A grade of C will require approval of the teacher.
