Expectations

Students are only in class for 40 minutes, once a week. Fourth Grade students are expected to follow the school rules and classroom rules. Students should be demonstrating more self-control in the classroom.

Students are expected to:

*Listen when the teacher is talking. (Students cannot learn when they talk or make noises instead of listening. It is also distracting to other students and can cause them to miss the information being given by the teacher.)

*Raise hand and wait to be called on. (When a student talks without being called on it interrupts the teacher and the class. Patience is a valuable trait to learn for students of any age.)

*Respect adults and students.

*Participate, stay on task, and follow along with the class.

Consequences:

*Verbal warning (name on board).

*Time out station (student will fill out a letter form to take home to parents/guardians about their behavior in class) {check mark}

*Lose 5 minutes of recess (or more depending on the severity of the misbehavior) and a write up (office referral) will be sent to the principal (2 check marks).

*In case of severe behavior, student will be written up and sent to the office (teacher's descretion).
