Hillsboro City Schools Receive Several Awards

Hillsboro City Schools recently received the following awards:
ODE Momentum Award, Hillsboro Intermediate

Hillsboro FFA Livestock Judging Team Attends Three Events

The Hillsboro FFA general livestock judging team has been busy. The  team has been to three judging events including: Mt. Gilead where they placed 6th overall, Marysville where they placed 8th overall and Wilmington. In Marysville, Joe H. placed 4th overall as an individual. In Wilmington, Lana G. placed 8th overall as an individual. The event consists of judging and placing eight classes. The classes include two classes of beef, swine, goats and sheep. Thank you to members Lana G., Scottie E., Kirsten H., Joe H., Bryce S., Gavin P., Clara P., Mallory P. and Kelcie T. for taking part in all of the judging events.

Kindergarten Registration Scheduled for April 4

Children living in the Hillsboro City School District who will be five years of age on or before August 1, 2019 are eligible to enroll in kindergarten. Registration will be Thursday, April 4 at Hillsboro Elementary. Registration will be open from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM to register those children whose last names begin with the letters A-L and from 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM for those children whose last names begin with the letters M-Z. The child and the parent/guardian need to attend registration. The parent/guardian should bring a certified copy of the child's birth certificate, the child's immunization records, the child's social security card, proof of residency (such as a current utility bill), parent's driver's license and custody papers, if applicable.
